KROGGL Verlag primarily markets the cartoons, works of art and books by the Austrian artist Astrid Holzmann-Koppeter. Another focus of the publishing house's work is on joint projects in which numerous German-language authors are involved.

Dr. Astrid Holzmann-Koppeter

Astrid Holzmann-Koppeter, born in 1987, is an educational scientist and marketing expert. She lives in Villach and has been working successfully as an author and artist for years. Her works include numerous literary publications as well as illustrations, cartoons and artworks. She is the inventor of the popular cartoon character "Kroggl".

  • 1st place in the EuroNatur writing competition (international, 2021)
  • Shortlisted for the Literatur:im:süden-scholarship, initiated by Buch13 and the city of Villach (2021)
  • 2nd place in the writing competition of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (Austria, 2020)
